On the economics of Health Care:
My mother beat breast cancer. She did it because she caught it quickly (mammograms every few months, she knew she was getting it) and getting surgery quickly. I find it extremely difficult to believe that the same entity that runs Immigration Services would be able to handle health care properly.
Also, also: I’m sorry to hear about your mother’s battle with breast cancer. I’m glad she beat it. However, it’s also a perfect illustration as to why more people need access to and have coverage: preventative medicine. Due to circumstances beyond control, my mother isn’t quite as fortunate as yours.
Also, also, also: I hardly think anybody would argue for the people who run INS to also administer a public option to health care. Apples/Oranges etc.
