Dallas TX Proposition 8 Protest RallySaturday, November 15th 12:30 to 2:00pmDallas City Hall1500 Marilla StDallas, TX 75201www.JoinTheImpact.com

Fight against a Proposition that’s already been voted on! YEARGHHHHH!
Sorry. I’m not making a statement of support or opposition. I just think it’s slightly ridiculous after the fact. It’s like putting together a rally to protest against Obama’s election….

I somewhat agree w/ SDS and don’t know how much this will help us garner public support, but you kids have fun! I’m sure it’ll be a riot!
(mob-mentality pun, FTW!)
Clarification: I’m just not into protests as a form of progress. I understand the anger and frustration, but I also think we can harness that in a direction which may be less detrimental to both short- and long-term goals of our movement. Protests waste time, resources, and most importantly, annoy the fuck out of people. We don’t want to annoy the fuck out of people, which is why Bravo! cancelled Queer Eye. But like I said, I understand why these protests are happening, and on some level, I think they may be helpful, as long as they don’t turn violent, start storming the bastilles (churches?) or just become engulfed in ugliness.
